How did it all begin?
Baywobau has been in the construction business since 1963. That was when founders Lothar Wagner and Volker Hofmann started up a planning agency dedicated to building services.
Starting from 1966, they constructed the first properties in Augsburg and around Munich as part of a joint venture project.
A year later, the Private Baugesellschaft V.C. Hofmann GmbH was founded, and in 1976 was renamed Baywobau Baubetreuung GmbH.
As early as 1972, the shares of the company ERWOBAU-Ingenieure L. Wagner und V. Hofmann GmbH, which built terraced houses and freehold apartments in Erding, were purchased.
In 1993, an affiliate company, based in Freising, was founded. This company continuously carries out large building projects – including those for “institutional buildings” – with a local partner.
Today's service portfolio of Baywobau:
In 1991, Baywobau Dresden and Baywobau Leipzig were founded and in 1994, the company opened Baywobau Berlin. Baywobau Dresden, Baywobau Leipzig and Baywobau are branches of the Munich company. They also provide housing industry related services such as acquisition of plots, conception and development of construction projects, construction supervision and support as well as sales for the respective builders.
Predominantly, these builders are the Baywobau Bauträger Aktiengesellschaft that was founded in 1994, the Baywobau Immobilien AG, founded in 2004, as well as diverse property companies, in which the Baywobau is involved.
