Rohlands Hof: Location & Surroundings
The urban district of “Möckern” north-west of the city centre of Leipzig, borders the marvellous alluvial forest along “Weiße Elster” river, which crosses the city of Leipzig. The “Georg-Schumann-Straße” is the main street running through the district from east to west. In recent years, the neighbourhood has been continuously upgraded. The vacant buildings dating back to around 1900 and old factories have been refurbished step by step and converted into modern residential properties with attractive apartments.
The new development is located on a quiet side street of the “Georg-Schumann-Straße” avenue. Thanks to the refurbishment of this main artery, the borough is well served by the public transport system, including buses, trams and trains of the suburban railway. Therefore, the city centre can be reached within 10 minutes. Thanks to newly built cycle trails, it takes only a few minutes to get to the inner city by bicycle.
The near “Auensee” Lake with its sunny lakeside lawns, playgrounds and the historic park railway is a marvellous place for relaxation and recreation. The generously built cycle trails running along the river make a ride with the family a real pleasure.
The Leipzig borough of “Möckern” combines ideally the advantages of living near the city centre with the proximity of nature.
