Our tour begins in the gem of the 'Königpark' (King's Park), at the Haus 'König Albert' (King Albert's House). The building has a special flair, characteristic of a listed building structure. The historic roof lantern and recessed roof balconies combined with its unique sunlit location turn the building into a place that is truly enchanting.
A total of 16 private apartments can be found in Haus 'König Albert'. The ground-floor apartments open out to large terrace areas with a gorgeous vineyard at their feet. On the floors above, each stylish and sunlit apartment is complemented by a balcony or recessed balcony. They offer the perfect place to look out over the Elbe Valley and as far as Dresden’s city centre.
The restauration, carried out according to regulations for historic monuments, also includes the many rhododendrons in front of the building, which blossom beautifully every year.
It takes just one visit to become captivated by the city. The artistic and cultural landscape of Dresden is right at your feet when in 'Königspark'. You can also take that in the literal sense, as the Loschwitz district to which 'Königspark' belongs extends down to the banks of the Elbe.
Along the banks of the Elbe, numerous listed mansions stand beside modern detached houses, and the historical square Körnerplatz has become home to an array of inviting restaurants and cafés, as well as small artisan establishments, galleries and shops.
Loschwitz is one of the most popular as well as most beautiful districts in Dresden. From many places, it offers an impressive and unobstructed view over the Elbe Valley to the city centre. That is what makes this residential area one of the most sought-after locations in the capital city of Saxony.
In the immediate vicinity of 'Königspark', you can enjoy the fresh air in the local Dresden Heath and discover new favourite spots during extended walks, hikes or bike tours. Should you prefer more urban surroundings, you can reach the city centre and its various boutiques, shopping streets and shopping centres in just a few minutes’ drive.
The Brühlsche Terrasse (Brühl's Terrace) historical ensemble, Grünes Gewölbe museum (Green Vault), Albertinum, the Frauenkirche church, Dresdner Zwinger palace as well as the vibrant Neustadt and countless other attractions in Dresden and its surroundings are inviting destinations all year long.
The listed building structure, exquisite materials and modern interior finish are perfectly harmonised in Haus König Albert to create a particularly elegant atmosphere.
